Plaid offers two reliable ways to link your bank account: Instant Account Verification (IAV) and Micro-Deposits.
The Instant Account Verification (IAV) method allows you to securely connect your bank account in real-time. This is the fastest and most convenient way to link your account, enabling you to verify your account within minutes.
1. Select 'Connect Bank Account': Once logged into your Realbricks account, navigate to your profile settings and click on Payment Methods, then “Add New.”
2. Select Instant: After clicking continue, and confirming your phone number, Plaid will then prompt you with the option for Instant, or Manual. Choose Instant.
3. Select Bank: From here you simply select your bank from Plaids extensive list of Institutions it can connect to. (12,000+)
4. Enter Your Banking Credentials: After selecting your bank, a secure window will appear, asking you to continue to log in. Rest assured, Plaid uses encryption and strict security protocols to keep your information safe. Continue to log in to initiate the instant verification process. You will be prompted to enter your bank username and password to securely log in via Plaid. From there, you can select the bank accounts and details you wish to share.
5. Verify Your Account: Plaid will instantly verify your account by checking your balance and transactions. Once this is complete, your bank account will be securely linked to your Realbricks profile, and you'll be ready to invest!
If you'd prefer not to use your bank's online credentials or your bank is not supported for instant verification, the micro-deposit method offers a secure alternative. This method deposits 0.01 to verify your account with a successful transaction that can take 1-2 days. Though it takes a bit longer, it's still a straightforward way to verify your account.
2. Enter Your Account and Routing Numbers: You'll be asked to manually input your bank's routing and account numbers. Double-check this information to avoid any errors.
3. Wait for the Micro-Deposits: Plaid will deposit a micro deposit of 0.01 into your bank account. This may take 1-2 business days.
4. Verify the Deposits: Once you see the two deposits in your bank account, return to Realbricks, navigate back to your profile and click Payment Methods, then select “Click to Verify” and input the 3 letter code from the deposit in your account, to complete the verification.
5. Your Account is Linked: After entering the correct amounts, your bank account will be connected to your Realbricks account, allowing you to proceed with your investments.
